Kamiskotia Snow Resort is a skier's paradise located in the City of Timmins , nestled in the middle of "The Great White North". Northern Ontario is known for the abundance of natural snow and Kamiskotia Snow Resort has an average annual snow fall of 340cm. The abundance of natural snow supplemented with man made snow insures one of the longest Snow Sports season in Ontario.

SKI RACING - TIMMINS SKI RACERS

If you have a competitive side to you, then consider registering with the Timmins Ski Racers. Fun and exciting ski racing for youngsters 6 to 16 years of age. Certified dry land training programs are held in the fall. Ski sessions and races will be ongoing throughout  the season. Nancy Green Ski League, Mackenzie Ski League and Juvenile race events highlights the season with some travel to other ski areas in the province. Any skiers interested  in the  race programs can contact us or receive more information  at the Guest Services office at the resort. 

At Kamiskotia we offer something for everyone in your family from the 3 year old beginner to the advanced freestyle skier, racer or boarder. Throughout the season, Kamiskotia has Camps and Clinics for all levels and Snow Sports. Please check out the camps and lessons page as well as the events page for more information.

  • Up to three free lift tickets at each of the participating ski/snowboard areas in Western Canada, Ontario, Québec and Atlantic Canada. That means you could ski/ride for free HUNDREDS of times this winter for FREE!!

Why grade 5? Every kid in Canada should be given the opportunity to try the BEST WINTER SPORTS-SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING. By learning how to ski and snowboard at your age, you are guaranteed to have loads of fun for years to come! But we can't give this away free to everyone. So if you are in Grade 5 (or born in 1995) this is your lucky year!

You must register for this FREE offer through the Canadian Ski Council or you can pick up a registration form at the Resort Guest Services' office.

SCHOOL GROUPS

Kamiskotia Snow Resorts welcomes organized school groups and is committed to providing the best possible experience for the student as well as the organizer. Kamiskotia offers school programs for Day Visits as well as Four Day Ski education program. If you are interested  in bringing your students on an outing that will provide them with an experience that will last a lifetime, please contact the Administration office for further information. Please e-mail us for a complete Ski Education Manual that has all the answers and forms required to make your outing at Kamiskotia a truly positive experience.

Always stay in control. You must be able to stop, or avoid other people or objects.   6 Always use proper devices to help prevent runaway equipment.
2 People ahead of you have the right-of-way. It is your responsibility to avoid them.   7 Observe and obey all posted signs and warnings.
3 Do not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above.   8 Keep off closed trails and closed areas.
4 Before starting downhill or merging onto a trail, look uphill and yield to others.   9 You must not use lifts or terrain if your ability is impaired through use of alcohol or drugs.
5 If you are involved in or witness a collision or accident, you must remain at the scene and identify yourself to the Ski Patrol.   10 You must have sufficient physical dexterity, ability and knowledge to safely load, ride and unload lifts. If in doubt, ask the lift attendant.
